Polar Latitudes Reveals 2028 Arctic Season, Including New Lofoten-to-Svalbard Voyage

Polar Latitudes Expeditions has announced its Arctic 2028 season, featuring voyages across Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland, Jan Mayen and Arctic Norway — ranging from classic week-long Svalbard sailings to longer multi-island crossings focused on wildlife, wilderness and culture, each led by an onboard Expedition Team.
The standout new addition is the 10-day "Norway's Wild North: Lofoten to Svalbard," sailing aboard the Ocean Albatros from Norway's Lofoten Islands into the High Arctic wildlife territory of Svalbard.
Returning favourites include the eight-day "North to the Midnight Sun," offering chances to spot polar bears, walruses and seabirds, and the 10-day "Svalbard Circumnavigation," which circles the entire archipelago from its southern fjords to the polar deserts of Hinlopen Strait.
In Greenland, the 12-day "Greenland Explorer" follows the historic Norse Sea route across East, South and West Greenland, while the eight-day "Disko Bay & Beyond" focuses on the UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord.
For travellers wanting to combine several Arctic destinations in one trip, the 13-day "Four Arctic Island" itinerary links Iceland, Greenland, Jan Mayen and Svalbard, sailing both northbound and southbound between Reykjavík and Longyearbyen.
With polar bear sightings, glacier landscapes and remote wildlife-watching high on many travellers' bucket lists, this season's line-up gives Arctic cruise fans plenty of choice — from a first taste of expedition cruising to a full multi-island Arctic crossing.
